It’s that time of year again! GRADUATION APPLICATION SUBMISSION! 

The “apply for graduation” action initiates the graduation clearance process by notifying the Registrar's Office that a student has been recommended for degree candidacy by the relevant advisor(s) and department chair(s).  This action allows the Registrar's Office to conduct an official audit of the student's degree requirements to certify the student's eligibility. This graduation portal was created to enhance your experience by providing transparency and convenience. 

You will use the links below to upload your graduation application form and supporting documents (unofficial Oakwood University transcript and unofficial degree audit report). You can access your transcript and degree audit report through your MyOakwood portal.

You will receive an email confirmation after submission and your department chairs and deans will be notified of your submission. 

Late fees begin July 1, 2026, and increase monthly.
 

APPLICATION WILL BE REJECTED IF:

1. The application is not filled out correctly. (Do not upload blank applications.)
2. Required documents are missing from the upload (graduation application, audit, and/or transcript).
3. Any required signatures are missing.(Even if your advisor is also your department chair, they must sign both lines.)

APPLICATION WILL BE DENIED IF:

1. There are outstanding courses. (Even if substitutions are needed, they must be completed before the review.)
2. There are outstanding courses with no plan, or they do not appear on the application.
3. There are outstanding exams with no plan.
4. The student is not registered for the courses listed on the graduation application. 

Students must submit complete and proper documentation. Do not upload pictures. Documents must be scanned and uploaded through the application portal, as these are your academic records. Do not upload screenshots, images of computer screens showing the documents, single-page audits, or only the first pages of documents. The application will be rejected. Speak with your advisor or department chair if you need guidance on how to properly upload your application.
