    IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING OAKWOOD LIVE 2026!

    1. Please complete the registration form in its entirety.  Enter Legal First and Last Names - DO NOT USE nick-names and check for spelling errors. 
    2. Registration is not complete until the Oakwood LIVE registration fee of $100 is paid.  All High School Seniors are required to submit an Admissions Application.
    3. The Registration Fee is non-refundable.
    4. We No Longer Accept Checks, Money Orders, Cash, etc.  Payments Must Be Submitted by Credit or Debit Card within the Registration Portal.
    5. For organizations hosting a group, the Head Chaperone (Group Coordinator), should be the FIRST to register and must list all individuals their payment will cover, regardless of housing accommodations.  However, each attendee must still complete an individual registration form - it captures vital information.  Group members must enter the "Unique Chaperone ID" provided by their group leader, when registering to avoid a request for double-payment, and to link them to the group.
    6. A $25 fee will be added for late registrants after August 21st at 11:59PM CST
    7. To ensure that your registration has been received, be sure to check for a confirmation email.

    ADDITIONAL DETAILS
    1. High School Seniors registered to attend OU LIVE are required to submit their Admissions Applications and Current Transcripts (Unofficial transcripts are acceptable- Must be clear and legible) .
    2. Completing an application does not obligate you to attend but presents you with an option and allows you to receive your preliminary scholarship offer.
    3.  Please ensure that the names entered for the event registration match the legal names listed on transcripts. This consistency aids in tracking event attendees and processing scholarship decisions. We recommend that each student complete their own registration to ensure accuracy.
    4. IMPORTANT DEADLINE:  Application and transcripts MUST be submitted by September 11th to guarantee eligibility of the one-time $500 OU LIVE Scholarship and receive your Acceptance Decision during the event.


    IMPORTANT LODGING INFORMATION

    1. Campus housing will be provided for High School Seniors Only. Please bring a towel, pillow, and sleeping bag.  Chaperones who have registered and paid their registration fees will be housed (double-occupancy) at area hotels at the courtesy of Oakwood University (based on availability). 
    2.  For individuals who register by the deadline September 11th 2026 at 11:59pm CST. Additional accommodation details will follow by email once assignments have been finalized. Rooms will be assigned at the University's discretion. Please be sure to enter your email address correctly.
    3. For Chaperones housed in hotels, lodging/hotel Check-in is September 30th after 3pm and Check-out is October 4th by 11:00am. Room access will not be provided before the scheduled check-in time.
    4. Please note: Registrants who complete registration after September 11th 2026, are welcome to attend OU LIVE; however, housing accommodations, meals, and event merchandise are subject to availability and cannot be guaranteed after the registration deadline.
    5. Oakwood University will not be responsible for making arrangements for individuals/groups seeking student hotel accommodations; such booking arrangements will be at your own expense.
    6. Please note that Chaperones are still responsible for the well-being and supervision of their group throughout the full duration of the event and must be ready to meet student attendees on campus Sunday, October 4th by 10:00am, when students must check-out of the Residence Hall.

    Oakwood University is able to assist with providing transportation to and from the Huntsville International Airport (only).  You must submit this information no later than September 17th to receive this courtesy. DO NOT SEND THIS INFORMATION BY EMAIL OR VOICEMAIL.

    Housing Information
    Student campus housing accommodations are strictly for high school seniors and are limited and on a first-come, first-served basis.  Once capacity is met, registrants will be responsible for securing alternate off-campus housing (i.e., booking and cost).
    The University will not provide supervision for students who choose to stay off-campus during OU LIVE. Oakwood University is not responsible for any injuries, losses, or damages that may occur while individuals are off University premises. Students and/or their guardians further agree to indemnify and hold the University harmless from any claims or expenses arising from off-campus accommodations.

    Please note that Juniors are not eligible for on-campus housing during this event. As such, Juniors will need to secure off-campus lodging. To ensure safety and compliance with our event policies, all Juniors MUST be accompanied by a designated chaperone during their stay off-campus. Accompanying chaperone may book courtesy hotels based on availability. It is the responsibility of the Junior participant to arrange for a chaperone and secure appropriate off-campus accommodations.
